The Sark Venture
The Company operates two passenger carrying vessels. The Bon Marin has operated the same service since new in 1983 and carries 131 passengers in the summer and 98 passengers in the winter. The vessel is a 68ft long twin-engined steel monohull ferry with aluminium superstructure. The Sark Venture, built in 1985 is a 70ft long twin-engined steel monohull ferry, capable of carrying 122 passengers in the summer and 92 passengers in the winter.
The ferries leave from their own quay area in Guernsey's St Peter Port which is easily reached by taxi or on foot from the town centre. In Sark, the ferries use the main La Maseline Jetty. All normal ferry services are met in Sark by carters who will ensure your luggage is transported directly to your accommodation (all luggage must be labelled correctly). Passengers arriving or leaving Sark can also use the affectionately called 'toast rack' to travel up/down the steep Harbour Hill to the village.
