Sark Magic Society presents a Weekend of Magic with Banachek and Friends.

Eight professional magicians will be visiting Sark in May and putting on two shows at the Island Hall for the benefit of the Prof. Saint Fund. Some residents will remember their visit five years ago and the full house of fun and mystery of their shows.
With two special guests who are coming over specially from America, Banachek and Barrie Richardson, the magicians will be performing acts of mind reading, predictions, thought transfer, metal bending and much more. They will mix drama and daring with comedy and confusion.
Each of the artists is a bill-topper in their own right. Only here on Sark will they be appearing together, giving them a chance to appreciate each other's work and to offer a unique opportunity for the audience to see a range of world class talent.
Because the perfomances were enjoyed so much last time by both adults and children two shows (including a special matinee)are planned (22nd May 7 p.m. and 23rd May 3 p.m.).
Tickets will be available on the door (adults £5.00, children £3.00). All the proceeds will be donated to the Prof. Saint Fund.

Sheep racing.

Just like Ascot, even the hats, but the sheep and their teddybear jockeys are the stars rather than horses. Enjoy a flutter, good food and fun activities.
The world famous and ever popular two-day event kicks off with a party on Friday night at 7 p.m. with live music from 'City Limits' in the marquee on the Millennium field.
Saturday is Newmarket Day. It begins with a Fancy Dress Parade at 1145 from Avenue Cycles to the Millennium Field, which opens from midday onwards. The first race is at 1245 with seven races at half-hourly intervals. At 3 p.m. there is the judging of Gents Waistcoats. The field closes at 6 p.m.
Sunday is Ascot Day. The field opens at midday and racing is as for Saturday. Miss Sark Princess interviews begin at 1.25 and she will be crowned at 3.15. Ladies Hats will be judged at 2.35 and the field will close at 5 p.m.
