Hogs Back

An ancient cannon still stands today on the old defence headland of Hogs Back which separates the two beautiful bays of Derrible and Dixcart. An ideal spot for sunbathing and picnics, with superb views in every direction.

To reach Hogs Back, visitors walk through the wooded Dixcart Valley. The unspoilt valley contains a wealth of tree and plant species and truly comes alive each Spring with the most spectacular display of bluebells and wild garlic.
